Words + Music = Long Term Memory

Bakit kahit ilang taon ko nang hindi naririnig ang kanta ng Backstreet Boys na We’ve Got It Goin’ ay nasabayan ko parin bawat word sa lyrics nya nang marinig ko sya kanina?

Astig talaga design ng Diyos sa brains natin. It’s so complex. May mga kilala ako naaalala pa nila vividly ang ilang moments sa childhood nila. Ako nga kabisado ko pa rin most part ng pina-recite sakin nung oratorical contest namin noong high school. “Friends, Romans, countymen… lend me your ears!”

Nakakabilib din ang power ng music. It can make you jump for joy, make you cry, make you fall asleep at kung ano ano pa. I believe that music is incorporated in every human. Kahit mga katutubo sa bundok na walang outside influence may sariling music. It is as if it was already embedded in our soul.

May nakita nga ako na language courses in DVD format sa National Bookstore. Yung mga lessons e in a form of song or may halong music para daw mas lalo mong ma-retain yung napag-aralan mo. Astig diba?

(Yung Korean students ko dati kabisado na yung Lupang Hinirang! Haha.)
